%X The rapid development of artificial technology in the world has a positive and negative impact, this indicates that technology will continue to develop and advance. Of course, with the development of increasingly sophisticated times, especially in the field of technology. One of them is the issue of great public attention related to the presence of artificial intelligence or AI related to intellectual prop erty rights. The goal is to find out whether artificial intelligence is capable or not as a legal subject who can be a holder of intellectual property rights and related products produced by AI can be recog nized ownership of intellectual property rights or not in this context aimed at artificial intelligence as a means of producing various creations of works.this research uses legal research with normative ap proach methods, The result of this study is that AI has not been able to be made a subject of laws and regulations governing AI nor has anyone discussed in detail and segnifikat, related to the position of AI is also considered unable to be said to be a legal subject and the work or creation also does not meet the criteria to be the holder of ownership of the work, in accordance with the laws and regula tions that have been determined in the discussion.
