Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh inflasi, suku bunga, dan nilai tukar terhadap investasi emas, serta menguji hubungan kausalitas antara investasi emas dan pertumbuhan ekonomi di negara-negara ASEAN.Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui regresi data panel dan uji kausalitas Dumitrescu-Hurlin Panel Granger, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inflasi dan nilai tukar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap investasi emas, sementara suku bunga memiliki pengaruh negatif namun tidak signifikan. Lebih lanjut, hasil uji kausalitas mengungkapkan tidak adanya hubungan sebab-akibat antara investasi emas dan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa di kawasan ASEAN, investasi emas lebih berfungsi sebagai instrumen lindung nilai (hedging) terhadap volatilitas ekonomi daripada sebagai faktor yang secara langsung mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi.
