TY - THES M1 - bachelor N2 - This study analyzes the economic development disparity between urban (Mataram and Bima Cities) and rural (8 regencies) areas in West Nusa Tenggara Province (NTB) from 2019 to 2024. Using constant-price GRDP data and a descriptive quantitative approach, the analysis employs the Location Quotient (LQ) method to identify base sectors and Shift-Share analysis to evaluate structural shifts and sectoral competitiveness. LQ results reveal significant structural disparities; urban areas are dominated by modern service sectors (Information, Finance), while rural areas still rely on primary sectors (Agriculture, Mining). Shift-Share analysis indicates that despite a structural shift towards modern sectors, the capacity to capitalize on this (competitiveness) varies, with some rural areas possessing more competitive sectors than Mataram City. It is concluded that the development disparity in NTB is reflected in the differences in economic structure and sectoral competitiveness, necessitating more targeted development policies based on local potential.
