Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the HDI variables, unemployment rate and poverty affect the inequality of income distribution in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. The approach used in this study is quantitative descriptive. The location of the study is at the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province. The sample in this study is the data on the Gini ratio index, human development index, poverty and open unemployment rate of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province in 2010-2022. Using the Multiple Linear Regression method and processed with E-views 10 software. The results of the study indicate that the HDI variable has an influence on Income Distribution Inequality in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province in 2010-2022. Then the Poverty Variable does not affect Income Distribution Inequality in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province in 2010-2022. And the Open Unemployment Rate Variable also has no effect on Income Distribution Inequality in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province in 2010-2022. However, the variables of Human Development Index, Poverty, and Open Unemployment Rate together (simultaneously) have a significant influence on the inequality of income distribution in the Special Region of Yogyakarta Province in 2010-2022.
