Komparasi Pendapatan Usahatani Bawang Merah Varietas Thailand dan Bauci Di Desa Nglinggo Kecamatan Gondang Kabupaten Nganjuk

This research was conducted in Nglinggo Village, Gondang District, Nganjuk Regency. The aim of this study was to determine the production costs, revenue, and income of shallot farming using the Thai and Bauci varieties, as well as to analyze the differences in income between the two varieties. The research location was selected purposively. The study population consisted of 270 shallot farmers, while the sample size was determined using a purposive sampling technique with 63 respondents. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, normality tests, and independent sample t-tests using EViews 13. The results showed significant differences between shallot farming using the Thai and Bauci varieties. The average production costs, revenue, and income of the Thai variety were higher than those of the Bauci variety. The results of the difference test showed a significance value of 0.0034 for production costs, 0.0000 for revenue, and 0.0000 for income, indicating a significant difference between the two varieties. Thai varieties provide higher incomes despite higher production costs than Bauci varieties. Therefore, Thai varieties can be a more profitable alternative for farmers to increase their shallot farming income.
